How to measure the individual parameters

The PD (pupillary distance)

The Distance between the pupil centres is measured with a PD meter or a PD ruler, with the head in a normal position and the eyes looking straight ahead. The Pupillary Distance must be measured separately for right and left eye.

The Fitting Height

The fitting height is the distance from the centre of the pupil (looking straight ahead), to the lowest part of the frame. The fitting height is measured with a ruler, separately for right and left eye.

The Back Vertex

The distance between the centre of the pupil and the back side of the lens is measured with a ruler. This measurement is made, with the patient standing in profile.

The Wrap Angle

Remove the frame from the patient and place upside down onto the special card, provided by Karamouzis Optical Group.

The Pantoscopic Tilt

Remove the frame from the patient and place it onto the special card (as shown on the picture), provided by Karamouzis Optical Group. The plane of the frame should be adjacent to the black line. Use always the left arm.
